Pacific Coast Foam has been selected to provide the exterior insulation finishing and custom exterior architectural details. More than 50 custom architectural details manufactured from expanded polystyrene foam will comprise the exterior siding for the 34-story, 790,880-sf hotel, according to Scott J. Buckley, vice president of sales and marketing for the contractor that hired Pacific Foam.

The foam firm is prefabricating the details and shipping them two at a time to the construction site. Cranes will lift them into place and mount them to the steel structure, according to Buckley.

The expanded Manchester Grand Hyatt Hotel--an expansion of the existingHyatt Regency--will feature 1,625 rooms and 130,000 sf of meeting space.
