The multifamily complex, known as Mira Loma Apartments, is located adjacent to the Oxnard airport. Built by the United States military between 1940 and 1960, the property housed Air Force pilots during World War II. It consists of 157 one-story cottage-style units with one- and two-bedroom floor plans.

The buyer, Starpoint Properties LLC, plans to spend more than $2.5 million on improvements to the property, including unit upgrades and new amenities. In addition, the company has proposed a multifamily project that is slated to rise on the adjacent three-acre parcel. Plans call for between 75 and 100 apartments with a mix of two-, three- and four-bedroom units.
