At Austin Centre, SWS Group Inc. is staying put in 3,520 sf of office space. It serves as the Austin office of a Dallas-based financial services company. Bill Gump of Crescent represented the building owner of record, Crescent Real Estate Funding VIII LP. Diana Holford and Laurie Wilkerson, both of the Staubach Co. Central Texas, handled talks for SWS Group.
North American Gem Trading, which does business as J. Stern, re-upped for 1,387 sf on Austin Centre's retail level. Gump acted on behalf of Crescent; the tenant did not have a broker.
Austin Centre is a 343,664-sf, 16-story tower that includes the Austin Omni Hotel. The building occupies full city block at 701 Brazos St. The office space is 85% leased.
At Frost Bank Plaza, the Cammack & Strong law firm signed for 2,099 sf. The firm had been at the Wells Fargo Bank building at 400 W. 15th St. John Hanly of Commercial Real Estate Solutions represented Cammack & Strong in its new lease and Gump acted for Crescent.
Frost Bank Plaza is a 433,024-sf, 20-story building at 816 Congress Ave. With Cammack & Strong, it is 97% leased.
