Since Eddie Bauer opened its first store in 1920, it has evolved into a tri-channel, international company with more than 590 stores worldwide. According to the retailer, its Redmond headquarters, located about 10 minutes from downtown Seattle, offers its employees the advantages of working for a major international retailer with the comfort of living in the beautiful Pacific Northwest.

The company's new 130,000-sf, four story building will be built at the Redmond headquarters at 5010 N.E. 36th St., and will break ground next year, pending city approval. The cost of development has not yet been determined.

While the real estate market within the greater Puget Sound area has been volatile over the past two years, large corporations such as Eddie Bauer, Microsoft and AT&T Communications have kept the Redmond area economically sound.
