According to Edmonds officials, the new four-story, 80,000-sf medical office building will open on the Stevens Hospital campus as early as next summer. The building, which was designed by Taylor Gregory Architects of Edmonds, will also be the new home of Hadfield's Pharmacy, which has been in business in the city for 27 years. The pharmacy's new space will be four times the size of its current 1,140-sf space on 76th Avenue West.

The outpatient surgery center will include two surgery suites and take in about 6,000 patients a year. The women's health center will include services, such as mammography and a high-tech diagnostic tool for early detection of breast cancer. The hospital's sleep lab will be expanded from two to six rooms in the new space.
