City Hall Project On Shaky Ground

REDMOND, WA-The City of Redmond has outgrown its city hall building but city council members are unsure of whether they should shell out $31 million to build a bigger one alongside an expanded parking garage.

REDMOND, WA-At last night’s City Council meeting, members of the council listened to several options for financing a $31 million proposal to build a new City Hall and expanded parking garage.

The Redmond City Hall was built in 1971 and remodeled in 1984. However, the city experienced a technology boom in the 1990′s, which significantly increased the town’s population and city staff. Many staff members are spread throughout the city.
