For $225,000, 1899 will acquire the one-acre plot of land at 3355 Keswick Road, which has a current assessed value of $232,400. The Victorian-era building sitting on that parcel has an assessed value of $1.25 million. "The plan for the Northern District Police Station complements the Hampden/Wyman Park neighborhood, preserves a significant Baltimore structure and provides a viable reuse that will create jobs for the community," Baltimore Development Corporation president M. J. Brodie says of the project. Reconstruction is scheduled to begin by year's end.
