Columbia Corridor Gains Two Industrial Leases

PORTLAND-A sewing supply company takes 27,600 sf at Airport Park West and the local retail chain Made in Oregon takes 17,077 sf at Riverside Industrial Park--feeding the growing notion that most activity right now is in related to low-tech consumer goods.

PORTLAND-Two small but telling industrial leases closed recently in the Columbia Corridor. SCS USA (Sewing Center Supply) leased 27,600 sf at Airport Park West in Building 3 and Made in Oregon leased 17,077 sf at Riverside Industrial Park.

SCS USA is expanding into Airport Park West, located at 8727 NE Marx Drive. SCS has another warehouse facility located at 9631 NE Colfax Street. Airport Park is a 250,000 square foot industrial park with seven buildings that is owned by First Industrial Realty Trust, which acquired it in 1998 as part of a $44.5-million, 900,000-sf acquisition from Portlander Dennis Sivers. The lease brings the park to 100% occupied.
