Kimley-Horn and Associates has signed a lease for 6,469-sf of office space on the 12th floor of the 480,000-sf 555 City Center tower at Oakland City Center,. The five-year lease will start on October 1. Kimley-Horn is currently located at 1939 Harrison Street in Oakland. Its Oakland employees and some of its Pleasanton employees will relocate to the new facility.
Kimley-Horn is a design firm specializing in transportation, highways, airports, telecommunications, general building/retail, general building/multi-unit residential, andmass transit/light rail.
Rick Steffens of Grubb & Ellis handled the lease transaction for Kimley-Horn, while John Dolby, vice president of leasing for Oakland City Center, represented Shorenstein Realty Services. The asking lease rate for this type of space is $38 per sf.
