AMN, one of San Diego's fastest-growing companies, is set to occupy 175,000 square feet of the 210,000-square-foot class A office building in August of next year. Although the parties declined to release terms of the deal, comparable leases in the area would put the value at more than $4.7 million per year, area brokers tell GlobeSt.com.
The AMN lease is the largest in San Diego County in the past three years, according to Steve Scott, senior vice president of Kilroy Realty. Further, it is the third major lease of the year for buildings in Kilroy Realty's San Diego development pipeline and reflects the strong diversity of the San Diego market as well as its rebounding economy, Scott adds.
"The building will be the landmark corporate headquarters in the region," he says, adding that more than 500 AMN employees will work at the site.
The six-story building will feature four different types of limestone, accented by contemporary stainless steel balconies and projections. The design is a collaboration between the national award-winning firm of HKS Architects and Hanna Gabriel Wells of San Diego.
Kilroy Realty owns and manages approximately 3 million sf in San Diego, with 1.7 million sf in the pipeline in the Sorrento Mesa, Del Mar and Carmel Mountain Ranch submarkets.
