The company bought the property for an expansion and consolidation of its headquarters, says Mike LaRoque of Daum Commercial Real Estate Services, who represented the buyer, while Daum's Chris Sullivan represented the seller.

The new headquarters comprises three structures and includes 12,000 sf of office space. LaRoque says Movie Movers will occupy the buildings at 11473 Penrose St. this month (July), relocating from nearby Van Nuys. Approximately 30 people will be employed at the Sun Valley site, which doubles the company's plant capacity, he says.

Privately held Movie Movers is a 20-year old company that supplies trailers worldwide for use by celebrities, including hair and make-up trailers, production and school trailers, and dressing rooms.
