The five buildings in Newbridge, Edinburgh including a warehouse, industrial unit and ancillary offices providing 250,000 sf on 17 acres. Henderson bought the properties on behalf of Pearl Assurance in 1999 through a sale and leaseback transaction where Murray International took a 25-year lease with fixed uplifts at each review.
Richard Fee, Senior Portfolio Manager at Henderson, said: "This transaction represents a mutually beneficial situation for Henderson and Murray International. We have sold this portfolio at a good premium, whilst the low cost of borrowing provided Murray International with an opportunity to organise long-term debt at a favourable level."
