Laguna Woods Ambulatory, a surgery center, is slated to occupy its space at Towne Centre in October 2002. The tenant has inked a five-year, $1.8-million lease for 9,096 sf here. It will be a new branch for the surgery center, which currently has facilities in Texas.

Laguna Woods Ambulatory will join current tenants South County Orthopedic Specialists and South County Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Center at the 40,000-sf Towne Center Medical Building. Completed in May of this year, the three-story property stands at 24331 El Toro Rd. Located on a 2.7-acre parcel, the facility consists of a steel frame and plaster exterior with a four-ft stone wainscot and clay-tiled mansard roof.
