DUBLIN, CA-Dublin city staff are studying the feasibility of bringing IKEA Home Furnishings to Dublin at a site across from Hacienda Crossings, on an Alameda County-owned site that was slated to be the home of a new CommerceOne office complex before the economy crashed.

Ikea has proposed building a 340,000-sf store on a 27-acre site on the corner of Hacienda Drive and Interstate 580. The Dublin City Council has ordered a land use study to be conducted of a 27.4-acre site near Hacienda Crossings to asses the feasibility of building a third IKEA store in the Bay Area. If approved, the land would have to be rezoned, as it is currently set for office space.
