"It's a totally new concept, combining the fitness and hotel industry into one dynamic entity," says Cory Ferraro of Leisure Sports. "There are other hotels with fitness centers attached, but this will be a world class fitness center, not just an amenity to a hotel."
The hotel contains 175 guest rooms and 4,000 sf of meeting space. The sports and fitness center totals 85,000-sf. A central area will contain a restaurant, sports bar, boutique and gift shop, full-service day spa and salon, and a business center. An outdoor aquatic and recreation center will include swimming pools, a whirlpool and a garden patio area for special events.
The facility is taking shape at the corner of Treat Boulevard and Oak Road The Dahlin Group is the architect. Hensel Phelps Construction Co is the builder. A similar property in San Jose is currently in the development stage. There is a long-term strategy to build Renaissance/ClubSport facilities throughout the United States.
