Inland's new facilities are at 1600 W. Washington Blvd., according to Allen Maxwell of Daum Commercial Real Estate Services. Maxwell and Daum's Nick Peukpiboon represented both the tenant and the landlord, Klaas Vlietstra, in the 10-year, $4 million transaction.

Approximately 75 people will be employed at the facility which will serve primarily as the company's Los Angeles regional showroom and as a parts and repair center, the Daum brokers say.

Maxwell says Inland has already demolished several aging metal buildings on its way to an extensive renovation of the site. Kenworth plans to build an additional 20,000 sf of new space at the site, which is near interstates 5 and 605.

Maxwell adds that the truck dealer obtained quick approval of its plans by Montebello city officials because their renovations, including re-landscaping along Washington Boulevard, will improve the neighborhood near the site.
