FEDERAL WAY, WA-In order to accommodate its growth, the Washington Education Association has purchased a two-story, 60,000-sf building at the East Campus Corporate Park owned by Weyerhaeuser Co.

The $9.5-million deal also includes a 3.8-acre parcel of land valued at $2.5 million.

The WEA, which represents 74,000 school and college workers in Washington state, has about 100 employees and is now located at 334334 Eighth Ave. S in Federal Way in a 35,000-sf headquarters it built about 25 years ago, says Debra Carnes, a WEA spokeswoman.
