AGL Takes 227,000-SF Lease at Estimated $52M

ATLANTA-The locally based energy holding company will consolidate two subsidiaries into headquarters on 17 floors of the 20-story, 259,078-sf, 100%-leased Ten Peachtree Place in first-quarter 2003. The lease is one of the largest this year in metro Atlanta.

ATLANTA-Locally based AGL Resources leases 227,000 sf on 17 floors of 20-story Ten Peachtree Place in Midtown, taking the building to 100% occupancy. The lease is one of the largest this year in metro Atlanta.

Terms on the May 31 lease were disclosed in a filing AGL submitted to the Securities and Exchange Commission showing the rent at $22.92 per sf or $5.2 million per year.

Area brokers familiar with the Midtown submarket tell GlobeSt.com the current quoted average market rate is about $26 per sf.
