Slated to rise on a 30-acre parcel at the southwest corner of Etiwanda Avenue and Miller, the complex will consist of one-, two- and three-story buildings to be built on 15 acres, while the other half of the parcel will be preserved as open space, greenbelt and parks. The gated community will feature modern units wired with high-speed Internet access, as well as live-work lofts.
The complex is the first multifamily project planned by Empire Commercial, a newly formed entity of the Empire Cos. that is bringing high-end multifamily, office and retail product to the Inland Empire. The Rancho Cucamonga project will "be similar to the type of multifamily development seen in other affluent neighborhoods in Southern California," says Jim Brooks, Empire Commercial's president.
