Famed for its distinctive archway, the 8,367-sf Flax store sits on a 12,460-sf lot at 10844-10852 Lindbrook Dr. It was built by the Flax family 50 years ago and has operated ever since as an art supply store for the UCLA community.
Reginald Woolfolk and Kevin Dee of the Charles Dunn Co. say that owners Harvey and Judith Flax, the principals of M. Flax Inc., are relocating the art store to a smaller shop in Westwood Village. Woolfolk and Dee represented the sellers while Dunn's Theresa Dunn represented the buyer.
Flax also operates a second store in Marina del Rey near Otis Art Institute.
