He is the former vice president of business development and pre-construction at Norcross, GA-based W.H. Bass, Inc., a general contracting firm, where he worked since 1990.
At Advantis, Thomann will oversee day-to-day operations, direct business strategies and manage the company's multi-market construction team.
According to a printed statement, during his tenure at Bass, Thomann helped generate $500 million in new business in the restaurant, retail, petroleum and banking industries. Among the Bass clients were Exxon Mobile, Marathon Ashland Petroleum and Tricon Global Restaurants.
Advantis is a partner in Evanston, IL-based GVA Worldwide which has 70 affiliate offices in 24 countries. Advantis/GVA, which has 13 offices in the Southeast, is owned by Jacksonville, FL-based St. Joe Co.
