Sammy Holding Co. Inc., which recently leased 47,021 sf in the NorthPointe Tech Center. The seven-year lease is valued at $5.2 million. Sammy Holding Co. will use the space as the company's America, Europe and South Pacific corporate headquarters and location for the development of the latest multiple-platform software and products. The lessor was represented by McNary, Benson and Carlson. The lessee was represented by Roger Joseph and Jennifer Sundberg of the Franklin Croft Group.
In the second transaction, the San Diego Union-Tribune has leased 19,434 sf of space in the center from Calwest Industrial Holdings in a seven-year deal valued at $1.5 million. The Union-Tribune will use the space at 6215 El Camino Real in Carlsbad as a general office and warehouse/distribution center for newspapers. The lessor was represented by Charles McNary, James Benson and Roger Carlson of Coldwell Banker Commercial-North County Properties. The lessee was represented by Steve Rosetta of Corporate Real Estate Advisors.
