Georgetown Leases Entire 46,344 SF New Med. Facility

ROCKVILLE, MD-Health care organization Kaiser Permanente of the Mid-Atlantic States has opened the doors of its fifth Montgomery County area facility, the 46,344-sf Shady Grove Medical Center at 1396 Piccard Dr. It is the 26th such location in the Washington-Baltimore region, and will provide both primary and specialty health care. Located at Shady Grove Road and Redland Boulevard, the building is owned by the Clewerwall Corp. and had been fully leased by Georgetown University Physicians Practice Medical Center. The terms of Kaiser’s lease have not been released.

“Offering more specialty care and services along the I-270 growth corridor is one of our priorities at Kaiser Permanente,” the center’s medical facilities administrator Marcos Pesquera says in a statement. “By increasing the number of medical centers, we’re making services more convenient for our current patients and making our brand of health care more available for prospective members.”
