The Austin-based company's catering unit consists of renting tents and tables, chairs, china, and linens for large gatherings; event production; florist; and event or wedding planning. The warehouse space gives Littlefield room to consolidate the hospitality division's rental and tent operations.
Penn Field, 3601 S. Congress Ave., is just north of Ben White Boulevard and situated between Interstate 35 and MoPac Boulevard. Southwest Strategies Group is rehabbing Penn Field, which had been once been intended as a flight-training facility for World War I pilots. Other tenants include Durham Trading, Ruta Maya Coffee and Clear Channel Communications.
Littlefield has expanded its hospitality division in the past year with acquisitions of Premier Party Rental, Austin Tents and Events and Word of Mouth Fine Catering. Other Littlefield divisions are bingo hall operations, gaming machine arcades and real estate holdings.
