Pipe and Tube has committed to a 10-year lease with landlord Meskimen Family Trust for a 24,400-sf distribution/warehouse space at 23099 Connecticut St. The deal is valued at approximately $1.5 million and the company has an option to purchase the building.
According to brokers, Pipe and Tube is relocating its headquarters from San Francisco. The building is a freestanding manufacturing building. Pipe and Tube purchased much of the equipment from the previous tenant.
"Pipe and Tube saw a great value in being in the East Bay and jumped at the opportunity," said Todd Severson, vice president at the Colliers office in Oakland. "Many manufacturers are hurting so it's nice to see businesses expanding and growing."
Severson represented Meskimen Family Trust, in the transaction, while Colliers brokers Jim Morris and Curt Scheve represented Pipe and Tube.
