The recently formed entity, Ackman-Ziff Goodkin Realty Advisors, will raise joint venture equity and debt and mezzanine capital for West Coast developers and real estate investors, says Sanford "Sandy" Goodkin of Sanford R. Goodkin and Associates, which has overseen the analysis and strategic positioning of more than $50 billion in commercial, residential and "new town" developments.
The new partnership between Ackman-Ziff and Goodkin is something of a family affair, as Ackman-Ziff's senior director is Alan Goodkin, Sandy Goodkin's cousin. "We like to think of Ackman-Ziff as a family, so I was really excited when Alan and Sandy's relationship paved the way for this dynamic affiliation," says Ackman-Ziff's president, Simon Ziff.
