The church is currently renovating the former theatre and will add a second floor to the building, according to Bill Lowder and Dawn Lowder of NAI Capital Commercial, who represented the church.

Once renovations are completed, the brokers say, the building's ground floor will include a 500-seat church, a community hall, a gym and executive offices. The second floor will be devoted to classrooms.

The Lowders say the church acquired the former theater after selling an 18,000-sf building on 4.6 acres at 5150 Palo Verde in Montclair earlier this year to Metro Honda for $1.525 million. The Lowders also represented the church in that deal.

The renovations are expected to be finished and the building ready for occupancy in early 2003.
