Another furniture retailer, Danbury, CT-based Ethan Allen, purchased a 1.64-acre outparcel for $850,000 or $517,661 per acre ($11.88 per sf) and plans an 18,000-sf building.

These are in addition to the 2.19-acre parcel purchased in June by Orlando-based Darden Restaurants Inc. for an 8,113-sf Olive Garden restaurant location. Darden paid $1.4 million or $639,561 per acre ($14.68 per sf) for the land.

Locally based Stonecrest Land Investment is the seller of the outparcels. Kathy Thirolf of Wheeler Kolb Management Corp., Atlanta, represented Stonecrest.

The 1.2-million-sf Mall at Stonecrest opened in October 2001and is 100% leased. Among the tenants are Dillard's, Parisian, Rich's, Sears, JC Penney and a 16-screen, stadium seat MegaStar Cinema.
