The hospital needed to relocate its billing department from its former location at 575 Sir Francis Drake Boulevard, according to Mark Geisreiter, senior vice president for the San Francisco Region of Equity Office Properties Trust.

Consequently, we had a technology company release some space at Drake¹s Landing and were able to offer Marin General that space, along with the remaining office furniture as part of the deal," says Geisreiter.

Geisreiter adds that the leasing process was expedited through Equity Office's FasTrack lease, a simplified office lease document that streamlines the leasing process by eliminating frequent points of negotiation, reducing the length of a standard lease by half.

The hospital signed a 9,700-sf lease for office space at Drake's Landing. Recently, Willow Creek Capital signed a new lease for 3,600-sf; Fairview Capital signed a new lease for 2,500-sf; and PaRVest Asset Management signed a new lease for 2,300-sf. The combination of these leases brings the park to 98% occupancy. The average asking rate in Larkspur is $3.10 per sf, full service.

Larkspur Landing Office Park, which is owned by Equity Office Properties Trust, consists of three office buildings totaling 190,000-sf. It is located at the intersection of Highway 101 and Sir Francis Drake Boulevard.
