Kinsell is named senior vice president Americas, franchising. From 1988 to 1995, he was senior vice president of franchise for Holiday Inn Worldwide, a predecessor of Six Continents here. At that time he led the launch of Holiday Inn Express, Holiday Inn Select, and Holiday Inn SunSpree Resorts. Kinsell takes his new post Oct. 1.
Tom Sedden is promoted to senior vice president, Americas brand strategy. His responsibilities for branding include sales, marketing, reservations, revenue management, the rewards program and performance support across all brands. He was previously senior vice president of strategic services.
Tom Murray is promoted to chief operating officer, the Americas. Formerly area president of mid-scale operations, North America, Murray is responsible for operations of all of the company's owned and managed hotels from Canada through Latin America.
Mike Goodson is promoted to senior vice president of finance and business development, the Americas. The former vice president of finance's expanded role now includes real estate development and asset management in addition to responsibility for all financial functions.
Kate Stillman is promoted to senior vice president of human resources and public affairs, the Americas, adding corporate affairs to her existing human resources responsibilities.
Bob Hill retains his position on the management team as executive vice president and general counsel.
