Giant Signs 56,000 SF, 25-Year Lease to Anchor New Center

ACOKEEK, MD-In a 25-year leasing arrangement for a 55,800-sf space, Giant Food has committed to become the anchor tenant for commercial real estate company Manekin LLC’s new 150,000-sf Manokeek Village Center, which is currently being built at Indian Head Highway and Berry Road. Giant expects to open its doors in the spring of next year.

“This is the first lease for the shopping center,” Manekin spokesperson Caryn Sagal tells GlobeSt.com. “There will be the grocery store and the rest of the space will be in-line retail.” The new store is expected to bring 100 new jobs to the Prince George’s County town, which is located at the gateway to Charles County and Waldorf, MD.
