Thunderbird Receiving $14M Makeover

RANCHO MIRAGE, CA-The Thunderbird Country Club, which dates back more than 50 years, is currently undergoing a massive renovation. The original structure has been demolished and a new 49,520-sf clubhouse and 6,900-sf fitness center are being built in its place.

RANCHO MIRAGE, CA-The Thunderbird Country Club, which dates back more than 50 years, is currently undergoing a $14-million rehabilitation.

As part of the renovation, the property’s original structure has been demolished and a new 49,520-sf clubhouse and 6,900-sf fitness center are rising in its place. At build-out, the new Thunderbird Country Club will feature a stone veneer exterior and concrete roof tiles. Inside, the facility will boast stone tile, marble, custom casework and granite features. Interior amenities will include a wine cellar, four fireplaces and a water feature. Completion is slated for October 2003.
