$9M Retirement Community Underway

FREDERICKSBURG, VA-Construction gets started on the $8.5 million Evergreens at Smith Run retirement community. RMJ Development Group is behind the 130-unit, four-story development project and Clark Realty Builders is the contractor.

FREDERICKSBURG, VA-Work has gotten underway on Evergreens at Smith Run, a 130-unit retirement community in Spotsylvania County being developed by an affiliate of McLean, VA’s RMJ Development Group, with Bethesda, MD’s Clark Realty Builders serving as the project contractor. “It should cost about $8.5 million to construct,” Clark spokesman Keith Anderson tells GlobeSt.com

The 130,000-sf, four-story luxury building will occupy a sprawling 13-acre parcel of land at 2700 Cowan Boulevard up the street from Hugh Mercer Elementary School and near historic Fredericksburg’s Central Park shopping area downtown. Targeted toward the active set, Evergreens will be surrounded by a bevy of onsite amenities including a fitness center, putting green, clubroom and business center and library.
