LCOR Talking with Hotel Operator at Bank Street Commons

WHITE PLAINS-At a topping off ceremony for its Bank Street Commons project here Thursday, LCOR officials said that it could have a deal to build a new hotel at the site by this fall.

WHITE PLANS-LCOR officials and dignitaries from city government and the construction trades were on hand Thursday for a topping off ceremony for one of the two residential towers at the firm’s Bank Street Commons rental residential housing project here. After the ceremony, Peter Gilpatric, senior vice president of LCOR, said that his firm is in serious discussions with a hotel operator to build a facility at the project site that had been known in local circles as “The Hole in the Ground.”

Gilpatric when asked by GlobeSt.com about the status of the hotel venture, said, “We are talking with someone in earnest.” He adds that the parties are now undertaking a feasibility study on the hotel at the Bank Street Commons site. He said that a decision on the hotel is expected by this fall.

He would not divulge the name of the hotel operator or if the firm is studying building a short-term or extended stay facility at the site.
