Russell Young and Michael Kennedy, both of Austin's Commercial Texas LLC, represented Waveset in the lease negotiations. Waveset has been a tenant in the building for 18 months in a sublease from Equator Tech. The sublease expired, but the high-tech firm signed a direct, short-term lease so it could stay put, Young tells GlobeSt.com.

Young says Waveset is known for its savvy, pragmatic business decisions and chose a short-term renewal while strategizing about where and to what it will commit for the longer term. Waveset and Young are selectively searching out the Austin market for a location that meets economic objectives and reflects true market rates.

Northpoint Centre, situated at the intersection of North MoPac and Far West Boulevard, totals 76,281 sf. Built in 1985, it is 82% occupied. Kevin Granger of the Austin office of the Trammell Crow Co. represented the building owner, Cigna.
