"The building is located in one of Manhattan's fast-changing neighborhoods," says Robert Burton, senior managing director at Massey Knakal. Located at 180-182 Bowery on the west side of the thoroughfare between Spring and Kenmare streets, the structure recently underwent a renovation that included a new façade and roof.

Owned by the Lewis family, Empire has been in business since 1927 and sold its former building at 114 Bowery in April, according to owner Craig Lewis. A month prior to moving, the store held a closing sale that turned into a citywide event, drawing massive crowds eager to take home vintage china, silver and glassware from some of New York's most famous hotels, restaurants and private clubs.
