The 44-story Park Plaza tower, located between Park and Madison streets, will also be known as the Aon Center. Roughly 800 Aon employees will be located at the Midtown location, while about 600 will work at Water Street.

"We're pleased to be in a position to fulfill the promise we made to New York last year and renew our commitment to Manhattan," says Aon Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Patrick Ryan.

Since the middle of September, 2001, about half of Aon's displaced New York workers has occupied space at 685 Third Ave. and in and the Regus Business Center at 245 Park Ave. Others have been housed in office locations throughout the Tri-State area. The company plans to move into its new offices in phases beginning in early September.

Aon lost 175 employees when the Trade Center Towers were destroyed last September 11. The insurance industry holding company had occupied floors 92 and 98-105 in the south tower.
