Along with his financial expertise, Polen has experience in dealing with master-planned communities, commercial real estate and pension fund boards, said Francis Najafi, CEO for the Pivotal Group. Najafi said Polen's understanding of fiduciary responsibility, a matter of the utmost importance to Pivotal Group, also is outstanding.
In his prior position with Robson Communities, Polen managed the commercial real estate division along with water resources and environmental matters. He has served as the former board chairman for the Arizona State Retirement System and was a board member of the Central Arizona Project. He currently is a member of the Governor's Water Management Commission. The Pivotal Group is a real estate investment and development firm well known for its ability to create high-quality resort, residential and business environments.
