"After two years exploring expansion opportunities in various states, we were pleased to discover, with assistance from state and county officials of Virginia, the abundant resources, both in terms of labor and logistics, accessible in Henry County and Martinsville," Knauss President Troy Knauss says of the decision. "[We] knew this was a place we could build, grow, and prosper for years to come."

In return for the 105 new jobs the new processing plant will bring to area residents, state and county organizations have committed a total of $500,000 in grants and loans to assist the facility's development. Knauss's neighbors at Patriot Centre will include apparel manufacturer Nautica Enterprises Inc. and motor sports engineering company Arrington Manufacturing.
