SAIC, a San Diego-based company, moved into 7,001 sf at 8303 MoPac, a 251,121-sf building in the northwest submarket. Trish McQueen and David Putman, both of CB Richard Ellis Inc.'s Austin team, represented the building owner, M&S Austin One LP.
Lamy tells GlobeSt.com that SAIC was able to gather two groups into class A space at a lower rate than the company was paying for office space along Bee Cave Road. He declined to provide details of the lease.
In the other deal, Waterloo Counseling Center leased 2,800 sf at Fountain Park Plaza at 3000 S. Interstate 35 in the southeast submarket. The counseling center moved into its new space at the beginning of September. It exited the Lam Research Building at 1524 S. I-35, also in the southeast submarket. Fountain Park Plaza's building owner, 8712 Shoal Creek LP, was represented by Howard Kells of One Management. Fountain Park Plaza is a two-building complex totaling 75,685 sf.
