COPT Breaks Ground on $19M Office

ANNAPOLIS JUNCTION, MD-Construction of a new 120,000-sf office building at 140 National Business Parkway in the 176-acre National Business Park has gotten underway with a groundbreaking ceremony at the Anne Arundel County site. Corporate Office Properties Trust is behind the development of the $18.9 million, four-story structure, which will be the company’s eleventh property in the sprawling office and R&D park.

“In the current business environment, you would not normally be starting a spec office building, but National Business Park continues to differentiate from the marketplace with 100% leasing and continued strong demand, driven in part by the defense community,” COPT president and COO Randall M. Griffin says. “We need to have product available to meet the continued demands of our existing tenants and anticipated new prospects.”
