The publishing company signed a 3 1/2-year lease at an undisclosed rental rate. Area brokers tell GlobeSt.com the rate is between $3.55 per sf and $4.24 per sf. They estimate McGraw-Hill's aggregate rent value at $490,000 based on average rent of $4 per sf.
Insignia/ESG's Atlanta office represented McGraw-Hill. Locally based M.D. Hodges Enterprises negotiated for the building owner. Both brokerages refused to disclose leasing terms, occupancy and the owner's name.
McGraw-Hill has more than 300 offices in 33 countries. Among its leading information service brands are Standard & Poor's and Business Week magazine. Total sales in 2001 reached $4.6 billion.
