Oldcastle to Build $13M Plant

EDGEWOOD, MD-Precast concrete products company Oldcastle Building Systems, formerly Strescon Industries, has broken ground on a 110,000-sf manufacturing facility on Trimble Road in Harford County. The $13 million development will bring 100 new jobs to the area.

“The plant is expected to be up and running next spring,” Oldcastle’s Bill Dausch tells GlobeSt.com. Steel Building Specialists Inc. out of Baltimore has signed on as contractor on the development, which will sit on a 100-acre parcel of land. Despite the size of the sprawling property Dausch says the company has no plans to relocate its Towson, MD-based local corporate headquarters to the site at this point.
