The Austin operation of Qlogic, an Aliso Viejo, CA-based company, moves from Las Cimas I next door. Derek Land of Endeavor Real Estate Group represented Dell and Gaines Bagby of CB Richard Ellis Inc.'s Austin team handled talks for Qlogic, a developer of storage networking equipment.
Land says there's still about 100,000 sf of sublease space available in Las Cimas III, adding that more deals may be in the offing. Dell subleased Las Cimas II at 807 Las Cimas Parkway and Las Cimas III at 805 Las Cimas Parkway with the intention of filling them up with corporate offices. It moved its corporate headquarters offices to Las Cimas II in 2000. Las Cimas I and II have a combined 320,000 sf.
Since the technology downturn, however, Dell has said it plans to move its Las Cimas offices back into Dell-owned buildings elsewhere in Austin and Round Rock.
