Schmitt Jewelers leased 3,000 sf in the complex, known as North Central Shops, for $826,774 and is expected to move into the facility in early 2003.

Insignia/ESG Director Cliff Johnston, who negotiated the long-term deal with building owner, Squaw Peak Self Storage, tells GlobeSt.com that after 30 years at 16th Street and Bethany Home Road, the new location will give the store a more prominent and visible location. "They're a central Phoenix jeweler and they wanted to stay in the area," says Johnson. "This will give them a prominent location with better visibility." He said the store will be the anchor for the new retail complex.

Schmitt Jewelers has a second retail store at Tatum Avenue and Shea Boulevard in Paradise Valley. Johnson negotiated the lease along with Insignia/ESG managing directors Dave Seeger and Karsten Peterson and associate Mark Gustin.
