Terranova Corp. of Miami, which represented the seller, refused to identify the buyer.
The $187.28 per-sf price is believed to be the highest this year for a retail property, local brokers tell GlobeSt.com.
The 100%-leased plaza, located at Indian Trace and Weston Road in Broward County, 23 miles north of Downtown Miami, includes land leases to Publix and Eckerd.
Twenty-six written offers were made on the property, according to a prepared statement from Terranova.
. The sale price jumped $7.3 million since Principal acquired the plaza for $12.6 million just 3 ½ years ago.
