Halo Distribution Co., a beer distributor, sold a 37,750-sf building at 4310 West Ave. to SPFM LP, a San Antonio-based medical distributor. Terms were not disclosed, but the building was valued at $620,000 on Bexar County tax rolls.
Bob Trevino and Joe Carroll, a Grubb & Ellis Co. team in the San Antonio office, represented Halo. James Chudnow of Bradfield Properties in San Antonio acted for SPFM.
Carroll tells GlobeSt.com that Halo wanted to sell some excess real estate and SPFM was looking to expand its operations. It will continue to use the building for distribution as Halo did, but SPFM will convert 5,000 sf of the air-conditioned space into offices.
San Antonio's citywide distribution-warehouse market had a 17.6% vacancy rate at the end of the second quarter, up from 17% a year earlier.
