The firm of solicitors is paying £45 per sq ft ($68 per sq ft) on a 25 year lease with a tenant's only break option after 21.5 years. The deal also includes a 21 month rent free period, slightly higher than was expected to reflect a slowing of demand for offices in London.

Industry insiders are confident the scheme will be granted but not without some opposition from local residents.
