Teachers Foundation Ramps Up Building Project

AUSTIN-Ground will break in the fall on a 29,000-sf office building at the intersection of Trinity and 12th streets near the capitol. The Texas Retired Teachers Foundation hired Reh Burwell Partners and Development 2000 to design the structure.

AUSTIN-The Texas Retired Teachers Foundation is erecting a headquarters building near the Texas capitol to accommodate its growth. Construction on the 29,000-sf building at Trinity and 12th streets is to begin this fall with completion scheduled for next year.

The building will have two floors of office space over two levels of parking and will house the foundation’s offices. The organization lobbies for public school and higher education retirees.

Reh Burwell Partners in partnership with Development 2000 is designing the building, which will incorporate large-scale masonry units, red granite and standing seam metal roofing.
