Sherman Hinkebein was a senior VP. Just last week, David Nicolson was promoted to office president, another longtime veteran of the San Antonio operation for the Dallas-based firm.

Hinkebein joined Weitzman in 1992 and was one of the first brokers in its San Antonio office. He represented major retailers in site selection and handled representation for retail projects in San Antonio and South Texas. He is credited with helping find sites for such notable clients as Avenue, Bed Bath & Beyond, Clothestime, Factory 2-U, Fitness Connection, Famous Footwear, Fantastic Sam's, Gap and Old Navy, Hollywood Video, Kinko's, Oshman's, Radio Shack and Rainbow Apparel.

Weitzman is one of the largest commercial real estate brokerage firms in Texas. Its San Antonio projects include Fiesta Trail, which counts Target, H-E-B, Barnes & Noble, Stein Mart as tenants, and Culebra Market, a project under development with a recently opened H-E-B.
